The DoD Small Rewards Program in use by the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan resulted in 1,265 munitions being found April thru June 2010. Representing approximately 3.5-percent of the total U.S. forces in Afghanistan, the CJSOTF-A SRP accounted for 23-percent of the more than 3-thousand paid out for tips leading to weapons caches during this same time period. The munitions in this photo were a part of a weapons cache found August 3, 2008 in Laghman province. These and other types of munitions are used by the Taliban and insurgents to target innocent Afghan civilians and members of the International Security Assistance Force. (U.S. Army photo/Sgt.
