Liverpool secured top spot in its Europa League group with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Austrian side LASK at Anfield.

Following a surprise defeat to Toulouse on the previous match day, Liverpool needed victory to secure passage to the knockout rounds after Christmas and also to secure top spot, which would mean avoiding the extra play-off stage and two more games loaded onto the schedule in February. The mission was accomplished as the Reds sauntered to victory thanks to two goals from Cody Gakpo, and one apiece for Luis Díaz and Mohamed Salah.

This weekend, the Reds are back in action in the Premier League as they welcome Fulham to Anfield. Games between these two sides last season were particularly entertaining, and we should expect more of the same on December 3.

Jürgen Klopp will be hoping a victory against the West London side will keep the pressure on both Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table, with only two points separating the three teams.

Liverpool could repeat Dominik Szoboszlai trick for player who gave Pep Guardiola a lesson

Liverpool's tendency to sign players from both Red Bull teams — Salzburg and Leipzig — is due to their system of developing players in the style in which Jürgen Klopp likes. Dominik Szoboszlai, Naby Keïta and Takumi Minamino were all signed via this method, and the club should be keeping an eye out on another Red Bull product who tormented Manchester City in the Champions League this week. Moisés Caicedo agent wins award as player flops at Chelsea

Liverpool's transfer battle with Chelsea for Moisés Caciedo last summer and the Reds’ subsequent defeat was seen as a crushing blow by Liverpool fans. Less than six months on, and that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Caicedo has struggled at Chelsea, while Liverpool went on to sign Alexis Mac Allister at a fraction of the price, with the Argentine slowly reinventing himself as a number six. While Caicedo continues to struggle in the blue shirt, his agent is picking up an award, with Ali Barat winning the Golden Agent Award for 2023. It's quite the contrast.
