Ever since his emergence into the first team setup, Trent Alexander-Arnold has pretty much made the right-back position his own.
Taking Nathaniel Clyne's place in Jürgen Klopp's side, the academy graduate has not looked back and has made himself one of the best in his position in world football. The trophies and the stats are a testament to that.
But for Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold's brilliance has come with some hindrances as well. One of the key ones is the fact that because Alexander-Arnold is still so young and already an elite player in world football, finding an adequate backup for him is not easy.

There are few players who want to come and play second fiddle to him at Liverpool, and find themselves warming the bench given the fact that Alexander-Arnold is rarely injured.
And on top of that, there are few players coming through the club's academy who are of the same quality, and who can be expected to make the leap into first-team football and adequately cover for him.
This summer though, Klopp might just find the one anomaly he has been searching for in the last few years through the emergence of Conor Bradley.
On the back of a stellar campaign for Bolton Wanderers, Bradley has emerged as a viable option for the right-back position at Liverpool over the course of pre-season.
It's early days, but Bradley has started both games at right-back so far and has caught the eye in both matches.
He's looked assured in possession and has often been able to drop into the kind of central areas we saw Alexander-Arnold pick up for Liverpool toward the end of last season.
Before there were question marks about whether Bradley would be capable of playing that kind of role given he was very much an out-and-out winger at Bolton, but he has so far quelled those doubts.
In possession, Bradley completed 61 of his 67 attempted passes in just 90 total minutes for Liverpool, which is a solid return. He's also been creative with his passing, making 16 forward passes in total, and three into the penalty area.
Defensively, he has looked solid, winning six out of his nine attempted duels as per Wyscout, making seven interceptions and seven recoveries.
He has only recently turned 20, and with Liverpool needing to focus its transfer attention elsewhere on the market with priorities in midfield and the center-back department, Bradley could emerge as a solid solution to play the backup role for Alexander-Arnold next season.
He's not quite ready to play regularly in the Premier League just yet, but with Liverpool competing in the Europa League and the League Cup, Bradley should be able to make the step up in those fixtures and gradually take his game to the next level, when he can be reliably called upon even in the league.
It's early days in pre-season, but based on the glimpses we have seen, Bradley might just be the solution Klopp has been looking for.
