Simple pleasures for simple people :)
In an act reminiscent of the infamous Bill Gates Cream Pie incident Steve Ballmer has been egged at a Hungarian university. This guys outrage is I gather due to the fact that the Hungarian government purchases a “site” license for all of it’s schools and universities regardless of whether an individual user even runs any of Microsoft software. Much like similar arrangements in corporations where once you have paid your “Microsoft tax” there is a perceived value in continuing to use Microsoft products with no apparent charge. Obviously this entrenches the Microsoft Monopoly, hence the anger :)
Of course no one likes to see another person humiliated like that, however, the fact that people feel the urge to do things like this says more than any words could…
